On Saturday, July 25th, Yolaskitchen hosted an exclusive, influencer tasting dinner featuring their new product line of sauces and marinades.
The two featured were Ade Spice, a sweet and tangy roasted pepper sauce inspired by Nigerian flavors and a handmade garlicky chimichurri sauce with fresh herbs and spices. Guests had an opportunity to try out the sauces how they liked, deciding on their own pairings that fit their palate.
In light of COVID-19, everyone in attendance exercised safe handwashing practices and received their own dedicated disposable utensils to grab their personal dishes. With afro-beats playing in the background, each invited guest came in to enjoy the vibrant, yet casual ambience with food served family-style for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and meat-lovers alike.
Surprisingly, the curry-spiced cauliflower was the favorite followed by the grilled salmon marinated overnight in the signature Ade Spice sauce. Other menu items served included, beef suya (Nigerian kebabs), saffron rice, mojo-glazed chicken wings, roasted chimichurri lamb shoulder & mashed sweet potatoes and fried plantain. Midway through the tasting session attendees had the chance to also try black-owned wine brand, Curvy Betty Wines Italian Sangiovese, which was a hit!
Yolaskitchen’s sauces are currently small batch, made to order and available for delivery in the Atlanta area and shipping throughout the U.S.
