After months of planning , Adeola of Yolaskitchen participated in a virtual food demo in partnership with Bloom, a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting women both professionally and personally.
Yolaskitchen spent the Saturday afternoon live streaming some of her favorite brunch dishes alongside co-founder of Bloom, Jasmine Johnson as part of their annual Wonderfully Women Brunch event. Guests had an opportunity to pre-purchase their ingredients and cook along during the demo, engaging in the chat room and sharing pictures of their creations.
Adeola shared stories about her Nigerian upbringing and what led her to creating Yolaskitchen. The two dishes featured on the live demo were Peach French Toast Casserole with a Bourbon Vanilla Glaze and Shrimp & Grits using Yolaskitchen signature Ade Spice sauce.
Bloom presented their inaugural Bloom Grant which provided funds to women entrepreneurs making a difference in their community. In addition, viewers had a chance to hear from the keynote speaker & women’s health expert, Dr. Tameeka Law Walker discuss the importance of healthy relationships.
