This morning Yolaskitchen did a virtual demo for high school and middle school girls showing them how to make the Yolaskitchen signature Cinnamon French Toast Casserole.
The event was in partnership with the Marietta-Roswell Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta and was a chance for Adeola to share her professional journey as well as different life lessons.
The girls were each given grocery store gift cards to purchase ingredients ahead of time and Adeola then walked through each step on Zoom. All the girls had an opportunity to learn some culinary basics and show off their presentation skills at the end of the meeting.
Adeola shared her personal story as a young girl learning how to cook from her Aunt, eventually attending college, and her experiences working in the hospitality industry. She also talked about how she adjusted her business due to the COVID-19 pandemic and encouraged the girls to always be flexible when faced with difficulties in life.
